JASON BOHON was born in Independence, Missouri and spent his youth playing make-believe in the front yard. He graduated from William Chrisman High School and attended the University of Central Missouri, where he received a BFA in Theatre Performance and a BA in English. He moved to New York City and worked with the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, American Globe Theatre, and Shakespeare & Company. While living in New York, he was inspired by the work of physical theatre companies and enrolled at the London International School of Performing Arts in cooperation with Naropa University, where he received an MFA in Physical Theatre, based on the pedagogy of Jacques Lecoq. Upon graduating, he co-founded 3 Sticks Theatre Company in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As the Artistic Director, he devised, directed, produced and performed in over 10 productions in four short years. He also performed with Theatre de la Jeune Lune, Theater Latte Da, Minnesota Orchestra, Childrens Theatre Company and Four Humors Theatre. He taught at the University of Minnesota/ Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program and Upstream Arts, a non-profit organization committed to enriching the lives of youth and adults with disabilities. Represented by Moore Creative Talent Agency, he worked on numerous national and regional commercials (see Reels). He moved back to New York City to continue pursuing work as a director and an actor. He frequently works with Split Knuckle Theatre Company, New Players Company, and Tongue-in-Cheek Theater Productions. He is a member of the Lincoln Center Directors Lab, a member of the Society of American Fight Directors, and an associate member of Society of Directors and Choreographers.
